Chain Stitch Embriodery

This special embroidery is done with “AAree” (needled Hooked).  It takes about many months to complete this small piece. This embroidery is done over a hand woven cloth base. The design range from flower pattern to animal, bird and human form traced by designer and the craftsman embroidery is made by wool.  These wool chain stitch tapestry are used both as floor covering and wall hanging.  The back cloth of this chain stitching rug is made of canvas. It takes many months to give this wool chain stitch to  final look. In some chain stitch there are small hooks for wall hanging.
